Baby explosion Box

Hey guys,

Am back with another.. A card on order for a client.. A new baby is about to bless their family and they wanted a card in which everyone from the family would be writing messages for the new born.. Since we do not the sex of the baby I kept it a neutral color so that it could be gifted to a boy or a girl.

A new baby brings so much joy into the house. So keeping this in mind, I have used a lot of bright colors ( I am anyways a bright color addict).. There really isn't much to say about this.. As they say a picture speaks a 1000 words so am gonna show off the box with a lot of pictures.

Some more mush

And finally

Ok, let me describe the explosion box in short. it has three layers. The bottom layer has the giraffe tag pockets on opposite sides and two pane;s of handwritten mush. Outside I have done a sea themed look with dolphins, crabs and octopus. The lid has a cute pinwheel. I love making pinwheels.
The second layer has tag pockets on two panels and detachable tags on two panels. Teh back side has 4 note cards on each panel. The top most layer has 2 panels of detachable tags and two panels of mush. The back side of the last panel has tag pockets and tri-shutter cards on the opposite sides. The centre has the pram.

I loved making the pram. Thanks doc for the amazing tutorial. It was only after seeing your pram was  inspired to try making one for my own. Dr. Sonia is an amazing crafter and has some amazing tutorials up on her blog. DO go and check her blog here. Be ready to be blown away.

CAS + wedding

Hi everyone,

Back after a long time with a crafty post.. Deetya's first birthday excitement is finally wearing off and it is back to work and gearing up for the upcoming festival season for me... My most favorite time of the year is around the corner as I get to hog on YUM food with no care in the world for my diet.. * devilish laugh*

Sharing a card I made for Sindhu as part of the GD for the on going celebrations on her blog.. Thank you so much Sindhu for giving me an opportunity to be the GD.. Simple idea.. You gotta make a CAS card on anything related to a wedding.. invites, anniversary cards, even favor bags but has to have a CAS look... Asking my readers to join in her celebrations.. She is new to blogging but is a great crafter.. With all the drama unfolding in the Indian craft scene.. Let's just join together and make new friends and appreciate the talent we have around us...

Anyways going on to ym card.. I made two quicky CAS cards... Saumya ahs been after my life to get back to making cards so this is just for her.. Love ya Saumya...

The layered look is something which can be found all over the internet using different punches... I used my Deco Shells MS punch.. ( Thanks guys for the awesome birthday gift.. I loved it totally), Washi Tape, Hero Arts sentiment and ink and you are done.. Simple easy peasy...

Card stock=> Fabriano Elle Erre and Brustro
MS Deco Shells punch
Fabriano elle erre 160 gsm punch papers
Hero Arts everyday sayings stamp set for sentiment
Memento lilac posies ink
Bling from stash

My second card was whipped up in 10 mins flat... haha Yes, I know.. totally crazy huh but theya re super fun...

Simple and quicks.. Nothing much to say about the card.. It kind of speaks for itself...

Card stock=> Fabriano Elle Erre
Hero Arts magical dots BG stamps and Fiskars Just married for sentiment
MICIA orange ink ( works ok.. Bleeds on certain paper)
Basic Grey Brad ( Thanks Tee)
White gel pen for faux stitching

I do hope you guys would join in for the challenge and send some love Sindhu's way...

Happy Birthday Saumya

Righto guys.. Welcome to my blog.. Before anything else let me just warn you that this post has no card.. It's just a simple wish for a darling friend... Happy Birthday Saumya...

Life and it's unpredictable nature... When all seems lost a god-sent person comes into your life to add meaning to it.. My friendship with Saumya was a casual interaction on BBM and thank god for that.. What began as casual has been a totally awesome journey of fun, laughter gossip and lots of nonsense...

You don't need to meet your friends everyday to forge a bond.. Sometimes just knowing that someone is there for you miles apart is enough to keep you going...She is the complete opposite of me and no wonder opposites attract... *wink*...

She is the type who you would want around when you want a joke to be shared, to get your mood lightened when you're stressed or just gossip when you know you would burst if you didn't tell someone along with the knowledge that your secret would be safe with her... The very special kind of friend to have by your side...

Saumya.. As you turn a year older and wiser :P Wishing you the best in life always.. I am of course blessed have you in my life.. You're a rockstar through and through and well.. I might tease you mercilessly but I love you dearly.. So here's to a good year of crafting, partying and love... Have a grand birthday... Your birthday gift I shall send but I want a return gift in return.. ( I know I am shameless)...

Oops.. No wish can be complete without the birthday song...So here goes..

Happy Birthday to you
Happy Birthday to you
Happy Birthday dear Saumya

Happy Birthday to you.. ( Did you sing along while reading it?? I know you did.. Stop lying... )

party like a rockstar darling..

Lots of love,

Deetya's first birthday party...

Hey guys,

Really sorry that I have been MIA for such a long time.. I was just really really busy with my niece's first birthday bash planning... Seems like it was yesterday when I got to know that I was about to become an aunt and she will be a year old in another week.. WOW...!!

Well I'll just go and share some pics of the party and the invites.. the theme was Animal Shelter...!!

There were 150 of these invites and took me about a week to finish... Had such a ball making them as it was the first time I was doing something in bulk.. What started off as a 60 family party ended up at 162... :D

The birthday girl in her finery....

the birthday cake...

The kids had a blast at the party... there was a puppet show.. Tattoo and nail art.. horse drawn carriage ride...trampoline and rabbits, ducks and small birds to play with... All in all.. A super party... Keep an eye on the blog as Deetya turns one I will be doing a giveaway soon...!!
